Itinerary
DAY 1: TO ATHENS Departure on your overnight flight to Athens.
DAY 2: ATHENS Arrival at the International Airport and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 3: ATHENS (B) This morning after breakfast depart on an Athens city tour which will introduce you to the most important sites of the city. You will visit the famed Acropolis with its dominating view, and the site of the renowned Parthenon, one of the most impressive structures in the world. Then there will be a visit to the Acropolis Museum. Overnight in Athens. DAY 4: ATHENS - OLYMPIA (B,D) After breakfast, early morning departure by air conditioned motorcoach to start on a historical Tour of Greece. A drive via the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Continue on to Mycenae to see the Lion Gate and the Beehive Tombs of King Agamemnon. Then to Epidaurus to visit the world renowned theater. Short stop at the picturesque town of Nauplion. Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnesus towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. |

DAY 5: OLYMPIA - DELPHI (B,D) In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. You will also see one of the greatest sculptures of all time, “Hermes” by Praxiteles. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia, reaching the magnificent bridge crossing the Corinthian Sea from Rion to Antirion. Pass through the picturesque towns of Nafpactos and Itea. Arrive at Delphi. Dinner and overnight. |

DAY 6: DELPHI - METEORA (B,D) Today you visit the Delphi Archaeological Site, the Castillian Spring and the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia and the Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing natural gigantic rocky complex of Meteora. Dinner and overnight. |

DAY 7: METEORA - ATHENS (B,D) After breakfast visit Meteora amongst the striking scenery, perched on top of huge rock formations which seem suspended in mid-air. Meteora, which is a cluster of monastic buildings perched in an unforgettable manner on a set of rising rock formations. Here stand ageless Monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine Art. In the Afternoon we commence the drive to Athens, passing by the Valley of Tempi, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit Leonida's Monument) and Kammena Vourla. Arrival in Athens early in the evening for overnight. |

DAY 8: ATHENS - CAPE SOUNION (B): Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, depart from hotel and drive along the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza. Visit the Temple of Poseidon located on a cliff overlooking the Aegean sea. At Cape Sounion you get a breathtaking view from the Doric columns of the 5th-century-BC temple. (Next to the Poseidon temple are the remains of a smaller temple dedicated to Athena Sounias.) A few yards away, the land drops 200 ft/60 m to the sea below. |
DAY 9: ATHENS (B) Day at leisure. You may choose to shop at the local stores and the Flea Market or to join the locals and relax by enjoying a cup of strong coffee, as you watch the people bustling about as they tend to the every day affairs of this ancient city. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 10: ATHENS - 3 DAY CRUISE (B) After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Piraeus to embark on your 3-day cruise.

DAY 10: MYKONOS (L,D) Afternoon arrival into Mykonos. Stroll at leisure through the white - washed, flower - decked alleyways to the sculpture like church of Paraportiani, or along the waterfront to the famous windmills.
DAY 11: RHODES (B,L,D) Early morning arrival into Rhodes, the Island of Roses. You will spend a full day on the island to explore on your own or embark on an optional sightseeing tour. Or simply hire a taxi and go to one of the nearby beaches for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.
DAY 12: PATMOS - KUSADASI (B,L,D) Early morning arrival to the island of Patmos. Here you can visit the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto, where the Book of Revelations was written. In the afternoon arrive in the Turkish port of Kusadasi. Disembark and look for bargains at the local bazaar’s leather shops, or go on an optional excursion to Ephesus, the most complete ancient city ever excavated.
DAY 13: ATHENS - DEPARTURE (B) After disembarkation from the cruise, transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
