Itinerary (B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner)
Day 1 TEL AVIV Depart via overnight International flight to Tel Aviv with all meals on board.
Day 2 TEL AVIV-JERUSALEM Arrive at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport. Meeting and assistance by our representative. Transfer to your hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 3 JERUSALEM (B) Breakfast at the hotel. Your tour starts with a visit to the tomb of King David and the room of the Last Supper in Mount Zion. Enter the walled city and walk the newly restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Roman Cardo, the Herodian Mention and continue to the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Proceed to Mount Scopus and then to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city of Jerusalem. Continue to Bethlehem, stopping at Rachel’s Tomb, to visit the church of the Nativity. Overnight Jerusalem.
Day 4 JERUSALEM (B) This morning drive to Hadassa Medical Center in Ein Karem to see the Chagall stained glass windows. Proceed to Bayit Vagan to Study the scale model of Jerusalem as it was during the second temple period. Continue to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust and then to the Israel Museum. Visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. See the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament) and the Hebrew University.
Day 5 MASSADA-DEAD SEA-TEL AVIV (B) Drive through the Judean desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, almost 400 meters below sea level. Stop at Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Continue via Ein Gedi to Massada. Ascend by cable car and tour the ancient Jewish stronghold. Time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to “float” on the Dead Sea. Continue to Tel Aviv for overnight.
Day 6 TEL AVIV (B) A full day at leisure in Tel Aviv.
Day 7 CAESAREA-MEGIDDO-HAIFA (B) Today drive north via Netanya to Caesarea. Once the Roman capital of the Holyland. Visit the excavations of the roman statues and the Amphitheater. Continue to Ein Hod the village colony on the Carmel mountains. Proceed to Megiddo to see the excavations Of King Solomon’s stables and 20 layers of civilization. Overnight in Haifa.
Day 8 HAIFA-SAFED-GOLAN HEIGHTS-TIBERIAS (B,D) Begin the tour of Haifa at the summit of Mount Carmel to view Haifa Bay and the western Galilee. Continue to the golden domed Bahai Shrine to visit the exotic Persian gardens. Then on to Acre to visit the crypt of St. John and the underground crusader city. Proceed to Safed, the center of Jewish mysticism, and visit the ancient synagogues and the artist colony. Continue to the Golan Heights to see the former Syrian bankers and Katzrin the new Israeli town. Overnight in a Kibbutz in Tiberias.
Day 9 NAZARETH-CAPERNAUM-TIBERIAS-JERUSALEM (B) Start the day with a visit to the church of Annunciation in Nazareth. Drive to Capernaum, the old town of Jesus and proceed to Tiberias, the lovely resort town and to the synagogue of Hamat. Continue via Beit Shean to Beit Alfa to see the remains of the mosaic floor with its famous Zodiac. Drive along the Jordan rift, pass Jericho the oldest city on earth to Jerusalem for overnight.
Day 10 JERUSALEM (B) Transfer to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport for your departing flight home.
