Tour Features

3 nights First class hotel in Athens. 8-day/7-night Greek Island and Turkey cruise. Half-day Introductory Tour of Athens and the Acropolis. Host service in Athens and 3 transfers in Athens. Meal plan as per itinerary: Breakfast (10), Lunch (7), Dinner (7). Sightseeing on air conditioned motor coaches with English speaking professional tour guides. Entrance fees to all places visited on included sightseeing tour. All Hotel service and local taxes are included.

Itinerary (B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner)

DAY 1: ATHENS Arrival at the Athens International Airport and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 2: ATHENS (B) Leave the hotel in the morning on a city tour of Athens, which will introduce you to the most important sites of the city. You will visit the famed Acropolis with its dominating view, and the site of the renowned Parthenon, one of the most impressive structures in the world. Then there will be a visit to the Acropolis Museum. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 3: ATHENS (B) Day at leisure in Athens. You may choose any of the optional full-day or half-day tours. Or, simply explore the city on your own; visit the Flea Market, the fashionable shops at Kolonaki Square and the sidewalk cafes at Syntagma (Constitution) Square.

DAY 4: ATHENS - 7 DAY CRUISE (B,D) Morning at leisure. Noon transfer to Piraeus to embark on your awaiting cruise ship for a 7 day cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey. After embarkation, enjoy a relaxed evening on board as your cruise ship sails towards the first port of call.

DAY 5: ISTANBUL (B,L,D) Afternoon arrival into Istanbul, one of the world’s greatest historic cities. Formally Byzantium, the center of the Eastern Roman Empire, this once-walled city is built on seven hills and situated astride two continents; here, East meets West in every way.

DAY 6: ISTANBUL (B,L,D) The optional sightseeing tour of Istanbul will take you to the city’s unique monuments, such as the Church of St. Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. Afterwards, it is bargaining time at the innumerous shops of the Grand Bazaar. Afternoon embarkation to set sail for your next port of call.

DAY 7: KUSADASI (B,L,D) In the afternoon arrive at the Turkish port of Kusadasi. Disembark and look for bargains at the local bazaar’s leather shops, or go on an optional excursion to Ephessos, the most complete ancient city ever excavated. See the greatest Greek and Romanesque ruins in Ephesus.

DAY 8: PATMOS - MYKONOS (B,L,D) Early morning arrival to the island of Patmos. Here you can visit the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto, where the Book of Revelations was written. Afternoon arrival into Mykonos. Stroll at leisure through the white - washed, flower - decked alleyways to the sculpture like church of Paraportiani, or along the waterfront to the famous windmills.

DAY 9: RHODES (B,L,D) Early morning arrival into Rhodes, the island of Roses. You will spend a full day on the island to explore on your own or embark on an optional sightseeing tour. Or simply hire a taxi and go to one of the nearby beaches for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.

DAY 10: HERAKLION - SANTORINI (B,L,D) In the morning the ship will call at Herakleion, Crete. Here you may choose to discover the town on your own or embark on an optional excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos, followed by a visit to the Herakleion Museum. The next destination today is the island of Santorini, the land of the fabled Atlantis. After strolling through the narrow streets of the town, enjoy the breathtaking view of the volcanic site below while sipping a cool refreshment.

DAY 11: ATHENS - DEPARTURE (B) Early morning arrival into Piraeus. After disembarkation you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
