Itinerary
Day 1 ROME Overnight International flight to Rome with all meals on board.
Day 2 ROME You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day at leisure to relax or explore this fascinating city.
Day 3 ROME (B) As your motorcoach winds through the streets of the city, you will be captivated by the many famous and historical sights: Quirinal Palace, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navone. Visit the Pantheon and St. Peter’s Basilica. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.
Day 4 ROME-SIENA-FLORENCE (B,D) We proceed north to the heart of Tuscany to Siena, a beautiful rust colored city whose character remains virtually unchanged since the middle ages. Visits include the famous Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. Continue to Florence, home of the Renaissance for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 FLORENCE-PISA-FLORENCE (B,D) Today visit the city of Michelangelo with its priceless monuments and works of art. Featured sightseeing includes the Cathedral, the Baptistry’s Gates of Paradise, Signoria Square, Palazzo Vecchio, the Academy and more. In the afternoon drive to Pisa to see the world famous Leaning Tower, the miracle square and the Baptistry. Return to Florence for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 FLORENCE-PADUA-VENICE (B,D) Late morning departure to Padua. Visit includes the 13th century Sanctuary and Basilica of St. Antony. Continue to the floating city of Venice for dinner and overnight. Evening arrival.

Day 7 VENICE (B,D) More than 100 small islands make up the city of Venice. This morning’s walking tour introduces you to the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the San Marco Square the Doge’s Palace, the bridge of Sighs and more. A free afternoon to perhaps visit a glass factory or experience a scenic gondola ride.
Day 8 VENICE-VERONA-LAKE GARDA-MILAN (B,D) Westward to Verona. See the Arena and the famous balcony of Romeo and Juliet then continue to Desenzano. Later an enjoyable visit to glorious Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, surrounded by gently sloping hillsides. Onward to Milan for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 MILAN-SAN MARINO (B,D) While recognized as the financial and commercial center of Italy, our visit probes its artistic side- the Duomo, la Scala Opera House and Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper”. Continue to the tiny Republic of San Marino, a country within a country, and one of the most ancient republics in Europe. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 SAN MARINO-ASSISI-ROME (B,L) We travel to the birthplace of St. Francis, to visit the Basilica of St. Francis containing one of the most imposing series of frescoes in the history of painting and the majestic Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. After lunch, continue to Rome for overnight.
Day 11 ROME-/NAPLES-POMPEII-SORRENTO (B,L,D) Departure by coach via the Autostrada del Sole (Highway of the Sun) to Napoli, birthplace of Caruso. You will see the San Carlo Opera House, the famous Santa Lucia seafront promenade and the Royal Palace. Afterwards a visit to ancient city of Pompeii whose secrets were preserved by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Evening arrival in delightful Sorrento, overlooking the bay of Naples for dinner and overnight
Day 12 SORRENTO-CAPRI-ROME (B,L) Travel by steamer to the resort island of Capri for a visit to the unusual Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Sightseeing continues to Marina Grande and Anacapri. Lunch in a typical restaurant in Anacapri. Free time before returning to Sorrento, to continue by coach to Rome through the Campania countryside.
Day 13 ROME (B) A day at leisure in Rome. so much to see and do.
Day 14 ROME (B) After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
