Itinerary (B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner)
Day 1 ROME Depart via overnight International flight to Rome with all meals enroot.
Day 2 ROME You will be met upon arrival at Rome’s airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or stroll around.
Day 3 ROME (B) An introduction to historical Rome with a morning tour. Featured sights are the famed Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, Quirinal Palace, The Pantheon and St. Peters Basilica with the famous Pieta of Michelangelo. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.
Day 4 ROME-PALERMO (B,D) Enjoy your free time in Rome this morning. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight to Palermo. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight welcome cocktail followed by dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 ERICE-SELINUNTE-AGRIGENTO (B,L,D) First stop this morning is Erice to visit the medieval town, then on to Segesta to visit the majestic Temple and theater. Continue to Selinunte to view the imposing Greek ruins. After lunch continue to history-rich Agrigento founded by the Greeks in 582 BC for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 AGRIGENTO-PIAZA ARMERINA-KATANIA (B,L,D) In Agrigento tour the unforgettable Valley of the Greek Temples, the best preserved ancient Greek Temples. View the superb mosaics of the Imperial Villa at Piazza Armerina and visit the Roman Villa of Casale. Continue to Catania for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 SYRACUSE-TAORMINA (B,L,D) Of all the Greek cities of antiquity that flourished in the coast of Sicily, Syracuse was the most important. Sights include the Cathedral, the Greek theater, the legendary “Dionysius Ear”, Ortigia island, fountain of Aretousa and more. After lunch, visit a Papyrus institute and continue to Taormina for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 TAORMINA-MT. ETNA (B,L,D) Taormina is Sicily’s most famous resort adorned by bougainvillea and trees laden with oranges and lemons. This morning drive to Etna mountain at an altitude of 6,000 feet to see Silvestri Craters. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon visit includes the famous ancient Greek theater of Taormina with its spectacular view of Mt. Etna. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 MESSINA-CEFALU-PALERMO (B,L,D) A scenic morning drive along the coast to Messina. After a short visit of the town, followed by lunch continue to Palermo via S. Stefano, famous for its ceramics, and to Cefalu famous for its Norman Cathedral. Evening arrival in Palermo for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 PALERMO (B,L,D) Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Spanish all left their mark on this city which is reflected in it’s unique architecture. Some of this morning’s sightseeing features Pretoria fountain, Palatine Chapel, the Royal Palace and the shimmering mosaics of the Cathedral of Monreale. Spend the afternoon exploring this delightful city on your own.
Day 11 PALERMO-ROME (B) After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight to Rome to connect with your flight home.
